Costa Rica

Emma Gamboa Alvarado (October 17, 1901 – December 10, 1976), was a Costa Rican educator, recognized for her contributions to pedagogy and teaching. She was declared Benemérita de la Patria, meaning, “Well-deserving of the Homeland” by the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica in 1980. She was depicted on the 10,000-colones bill of 1998.

Egypt

Queen Nefertiti or Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (ca. 1370 – ca. 1330 BC) was responsible, with her husband, for the creation of a new monotheistic religion which changed the ways of religion within Egypt. She reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history. She was depicted as on the 5-piastre note from 1971 to 1996.

England

Queen Elizabeth II, born April 21, 1926, ascended to the throne in 1952 and is on every bank note of England and is on the currency of at least 20 other countries. Celebrating her 65th year on the throne, she is the longest reigning British monarch to date.

Georgia Tamar the Great (c. 1160 – January 18, 1213) reigned as the Queen of Georgia from 1184 to 1213, presiding over the apex of the Georgian Golden Age. She was first woman to rule in Georgia and was later canonized by the Georgian Orthodox Church as St. Tamara. Tamar appears on the Georgian 50-lari note.
