Argentina

María Eva Duarte de Perón (May 7, 1919 – July 26, 1952) was an actress, first lady and politician. As first lady she fought for women’s suffrage and improving lives of the poor alongside her husband, President Juan Domingo Perón, who was democratically elected in 1946 and again for a second term. She is the face of the 100-peso note in Argentina.

Australia

Mary Reiby (May 12, 1777 – May 30, 1855) was a successful businesswoman and novelist in Australia. Born in England, she was sent to Australia as a convict for theft of a horse. She overcame the odds and successfully managed her late husband’s businesses. She is depicted on the 20-dollar note in Australia.

Austria

Rosa Mayreder (November 30, 1858 –January 19, 1938) was an Austrian freethinker, author, painter, musician and feminist. Her book Geschlecht und Kultur (Sex and Culture) (1923) was critical of the double standard and discrimination against women. She is shown on both the front and back of the Austrian 500-shilling note.

Colombia

Débora Arango Pérez (November 11, 1907 – December 4, 2005) was a Colombian artist. Arango used her artwork to explore many politically charged and controversial issues. Her subjects ranged from nude women to the role of the Roman Catholic Church to dictatorships. She is confirmed to be on the 2000-peso banknote in Colombia.
