Cultural Demographics Intermarriage

Bosnia and Herzegovina had one of the most diverse ethnic compositions. The other republics that made up Yugoslavia, Croatia and Slovenia, had a clear majority group. Much of this composition came from intermarriage among the ethnic groups. Neighbors from different ethnic groups were considered to be as close as a family member until the outbreak of the war when strict distinctions would be made.
