Aryan Brotherhood

The Aryan Brotherhood (AB), sometimes referred to as Aryan Nation, was created in the California penal system in the 1960’s. This prison gang went through several name changes before settling on the Aryan Brotherhood. They consist of white prison members who formulated to promote “white pride” as well as to provide protection for white inmates. The AB has a loose alliance with the prison gang Mexican Mafia while the prison gang La Nuestra Familia has a loose alliance with the prison gang Black Guerilla Family.

Hit Squad

The Hit Squad was first encountered in Montgomery County in late 2013.The gang initially began as a music group; however, many members began committing crimes in the community. During this criminal activity, they also began to develop rivalry with 1 Way through music and initiated an ongoing back and forth beef with them.

Folk Nation alliance / People Nation Alliance

The Folk Nation Alliance and People Nation Alliance rivalry began in the penal system in the Midwest in the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. The Folk Nation and People Nation are each an alliance of gangs in the prison system. Many use a baseball analogy to describe this; in that one nation would represent the National League while the other would represent the American League. All of the baseball teams would fall under one league or “nation.” The purpose of this alliance is power in numbers. Often times beefs on the street are forgotten when members of certain gangs enter the penal system, simply for the purpose of protection. In other words, rivals on the streets will be allied together in prison and return to rivals upon release to the streets. The Folk Nation Alliance represents gangs such as the  Gangster Disciples, the Black Disciples, the Crips and others, while the People Nation Alliance represents gangs such as the Black Peace Stone Nation, the Bloods, the Latin Kings and others. Each alliance has an intricate set of graffiti and terminology associated with them that is often represented in their graffiti found on the street in many areas of the country.
